ICQ broken?
I'm using ICQ as the instant messenger protocol of choice for ages. I have a 7 digit UIN, so it's probably about 8 to 10 years now. However I haven't used the original ICQ client for years so maybe that's the problem. Since a few days I have trouble talking to other ICQ users. I can read their messages, they can see me type, but they never get my messages. I'm using GAIM 0.64 – is anyone else experiencing this?
Well obviously the better solution is switching to an open protocol anyway, so Jabber is now my favourite. The most important contacts in my buddy list are already using it, hopefully the others will follow.
